Unless you've actually won the lottery, you may be under the impression that it's impossible to win. But actually, the UK has the biggest number of EuroMillions lottery winners - making up 22.7 per cent of all lucky winning players.

However, offering some of the biggest jackpots around, there are also many more people taking part in the EuroMillions compared to other lottery games as it's played across nine countries - so if you want to be one of the lucky winners, it might help to be strategic.

Of course, picking lottery numbers is a game of luck - that being said, it's expected that some numbers will be picked more than others.

A study from bingo industry experts WDW Bingo has analysed the results from all previous EuroMillions games to find out which are the most - and least common. This is based on a total of 1,650 draws across nearly 20 years.

Commenting on the findings, a spokesperson for WDW Bingo said: "While millions across the UK and Europe play the EuroMillions, the chance of the competition's huge jackpot is alluring for many as well. However, with so much money on the line, it's easy to question how random the numbers picked are, so in this study, it's interesting to see the huge difference in frequency between the most and least commonly picked numbers."
