Lucky Brit claims £11.6million National Lottery jackpot in life-changing win
A lucky Brit has won the £11 million National Lottery jackpot.
Camelot UK Lotteries Limited, operator of The National Lottery, has today confirmed it has received a claim for the £11,671,861 jackpot prize won by a single ticket-holder in the Lotto ‘Must Be Won’ draw on Saturday. No further details about the winner, such as their gender and age, have been disclosed by Camelot at this stage.
Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at The National Lottery, said: "We’re over the moon that this fantastic Lotto jackpot prize has now been claimed. It’s been an incredible month of mega jackpot wins on Lotto, with another lucky Lotto player having scooped the special £20M ‘Must Be Won’ jackpot in the draw on 1 July. Who knows what’s in store in August.
"Our focus is now on supporting this latest multi-million pound winning ticket-holder through the process and helping them start to enjoy their truly life-changing win. Here’s hoping for another Lotto jackpot winner on Wednesday night (26 July) when there is an estimated £2M up for grabs."
There are multiple chances to win the Lotto as draws take place every Saturday and Wednesday. To play the game, you choose six numbers from one to 59 or choose a lucky dip. It costs £2 per play.

Players can buy and check their tickets online by downloading the National Lottery app or at national-lottery.co.uk. Players can also buy and check tickets in retail. Playing online via the app or website means that your ticket is checked, and you get an email notification if you win a prize. You can also scan your retail tickets on the National Lottery app to check if you're a winner.
By playing any National Lottery game, players generate £30M each week for National Lottery-funded projects right across the UK. This funds everything from hundreds of small projects in local communities, to supporting the growth of women’s and girl’s football right across the four nations as the Lionesses compete in this year’s World Cup. To date, over £47BN has been raised for National Lottery Good Causes, with more than 670,000 individual grants awarded.
