The lawyer for Prince Andrew’s accuser Virginia Giuffre has claimed there was “strong evidence” the duke was guilty of his crimes.

The Queen’s favourite son stepped down from royal duties and had his military affiliations and patronages revoked in the wake of the sex scandal last year.

Ms Giuffre brought the civil case alleging the disgraced prince had forced her to have sex with him on three occasions in 2001 when she was 17 years old.

Andrew has always vehemently denied the allegations and later agreed to an out of court settlement with his accuser.

The settlement was not an admission of guilt and Prince Andrew continues to deny any wrongdoing.

But speaking on TalkTV’s Piers Morgan Uncensored David Boies said: “This was a case where I think the evidence was too strong.

“You have her testimony and you have his complete denial. The question is, is he credible or not?

“Once the jury concludes that he’s not credible with his claims that he never met her, I think the jury would probably conclude that he’s not credible about claiming he didn’t have sex with her.

“He would have been taking a terrible criminal risk.”

Last month it was revealed Prince Andrew is reportedly planning to try and overturn the multi-million pound settlement he reached with accuser Virginia Giuffre.

Ms Giuffre has since dropped a separate lawsuit against high-profile US lawyer Alan Dershowitz, saying she "may have made a mistake".

A source told the : "I can tell you with confidence that the Prince Andrew team is now considering legal options."

In the settled lawsuit, Ms Giuffre alleged Prince Andrew forced her to have sex with him at Ghislaine Maxwell's London home, at Jeffrey Epstein's Manhattan townhouse and in the Virgin Islands.

The Duke of York agreed a financial settlement in 2022 which saw him pay an amount to Ms Giuffre and to her charity for victims' rights.

It comes as jailed sex trafficker Maxwell claims allegations against Prince Andrew are unfounded and says she didn't introduce him to Ms Giuffre.

Maxwell is currently serving a 20 year sentence at a Florida jail for luring young girls to massage rooms for the disgraced financier Epstein between 1994 and 2004.

Disgraced could follow Harry and to the US as he plans to build a new career without his royal patronages and titles.

But King Charles has now reportedly agreed to his 62-year-old brother pursuing low-profile business interests.

A source told : "Andrew is less bothered than people think about losing his titles and official royal roles.

"He is thinking about how he can forge a new career.

"He has been keenly keeping an eye on everything Harry and Meghan have been doing in America."

The Duke is more focused on businesses and charities, as opposed to anything on , the insider added.
