Since signing Dominik Szobozlai, Liverpool have gone somewhat quiet in the transfer market.

The Hungarian became Jurgen Klopp’s second addition of the summer window after he put pen to paper on his £60m move. He followed fellow midfielder Alexis Mac Allister through the door at Anfield in what is expected to be an extremely busy summer for the Reds as they aim to get back on track.

A number of players could potentially be on the move before the end of the transfer window, too. Take a look at all of the latest rumours and confirmed deals to come out of Anfield over the past 24 hours.

Reds ‘prepare’ Mbappe bid

Kylian Mbappe remains the most talked about played in the transfer window. The Frenchman is expected to leave the Parc des Princes this summer after he was left out of his side’s pre-season squad.

Liverpool have long been linked with a move for Mbappe and it appears that they are ready to make a big play to sign him this summer. According to Spanish outlet AS, the Reds are preparing a ‘monumental bid’.

It is suggested that PSG would be happy to sell Mbappe for a big fee this summer as opposed to losing him on a free transfer in 12 months’ time. Saudi side Al-Hilal are also thought to be interested in signing the 2018 World Cup winner.

Striker exits Anfield

Amid Liverpool’s interest in Mbappe, they have let one of their current attacking options leave the club. 20-year-old forward Layton Stewart has been allowed to join Preston North end on a permanent deal.

He has signed a three-year deal at Deepdale after having previously joined the Reds as a seven-year-old. Stewart went on to make one senior appearance for Liverpool - that coming in the Carabao Cup showdown with Derby County last term.

He will link up with a familiar face at Preston. Calvin Ramsay also joined the Championship side on a season-long loan deal earlier this summer.

Henderson undergoes Saudi medical

Another player that is also edging towards the exit door is club captain Jordan Henderson. The midfielder is close to joining Steven Gerrard’s Al-Ettifaq.

He has agreed a contract with the Saudi side, whilst a fee of £12m has been agreed between the two clubs. It now appears that a move is only a matter of time from being finalised.

According to the Liverpool Echo, Henderson has already undergone initial medical tests in Manchester on Friday and is expected to link up with his new teammates during their summer training camp in Croatia.
