At least 25 rushed to hospital as decking collapses at country club
A deck collapsed at a Montana country club, leaving up to 25 people injured on Saturday evening.
Emergency services responded to a report of a collapsed patio at the Briarwood Country Club in Billings, Montana at 7:50 pm.
There were “multiple individuals with injuries” but no fatalities and a large number of people were transported to local hospitals, Billings Police Lt. Matt Lennick said in the statement.
Up to 25 people were transported to hospitals, KTVQ reported.
Police shut down roads near the Billings Clinic and St. Vincent Healthcare to clear access to the hospitals, the Gazette reported.

Up to 25 people were injured but there were no fatalities after the collapse of the deck (MTN News)Dr Clint Seger, CEO of the Billings Clinic, said in a statement that the hospital received six patients and was expecting another three.
The country club is located near Briarwood Blvd and Blue Creek Rd.
Another Billings Clinic official separately said 11 victims were admitted, the Gazette reported.
“We have multiple trauma surgeons, ER physicians and the ER team along with critical care staff on-site receiving patients,” Seger said.
A statement from Billings Police said the department was called to assist Billings Fire Department and AMR at the 3400 block of Briarwood Blvd.
The circumstances under which the collapse occurred are not known as of yet.
Emergency services rushed to transport people to local hospitals (MTN News)Lt. Matt Lennick said in the statement: "During an event at this location a patio collapsed leaving multiple individuals with injuries. It has been confirmed that there have been no fatalities.
"AMR has transported a large number of individuals to local hospitals. The area may be congested with emergency response vehicles while they finish clearing the area and assisting the victims."
The circumstances under which the incident occurred are not known as of yet (ktvq.com)Laurel Volunteer Fire Department added: "To assist with this MCI, Laurel Volunteer Fire backfilled Billings Fire Station 7 with one engine company, one command truck, five personnel, and eleven personnel on standby."
And Laurel Emergency Medical Services also noted: "Laurel EMS was able to respond with 2 ambulances and 6 crew to assist with this MCI. In total LEMS transported 4 patients to Billings Hospitals."

The condition of the people injured is not known yet.
One local resident wrote on Facebook that an injured person named Mark has suffered fractured ribs.
Adam Zagel wrote: "My heartfelt prayers go out to my brother and the numerous individuals affected by a tragic incident when a deck collapsed at the Briarwood Country Club in Billings, MT tonight. May they find strength, support, and healing during this difficult time.
"Mark is currently being evaluated by the fire department due to some injuries, potentially including broken ribs."
