Channel 4 forced to apologise over technical glitch as Gogglebox is affected
Channel 4 has been forced to issue an apology to Gogglebox and The Last Leg fans after the shows were affected by a technical issue.
The Friday night shows are usually available to stream on the broadcaster's on demand service as they air on television under the 'Live TV' option on the site.
However, viewers were unable to tune into the favourite Friday night shows online meaning fans were hit with error messages when using the streaming service to watch the latest episodes of Gogglebox and The Last Leg.
Channel 4 took to Twitter to issue an apology to its viewers and reveal the glitch was due to a 'technical issue'.
A tweet from the broadcaster read: "We’re aware of technical difficulties which means tonight’s News, Gogglebox & The Last Leg won’t be available on our on-demand streaming service. Sorry about that but rest assured we’re working hard to fix it and normal service should resume by tomorrow."

Channel 4 added in a further tweet: "Those shows should still be available on normal live TV though, so you don't have to miss them".
However, viewers revealed they were facing issues watching other shows, too.
Some viewers were unable to watch Gogglebox via Channel 4's streaming service on Friday (Channel 4)One tweeted: "The push towards streaming - last night I tried and failed to watch stuff on ITV and 4od (or whatever it’s called). Tonight I’m trying to watch cricket highlights on iPlayer and every 20 secs it’s the ball of doom. Not happy."
While another wrote: "anyone else having an issue accessing channel 4 app and YouTube on sky glass? All other apps are working fine. Reset the hub twice and refreshed the apps in the system management screen but not resolved".
Gogglebox aired a celebrity edition of the show on Friday, with stars including Gregg Wallace, Sam Ryder and Clare Balding taking to their sofas to react to this week's biggest shows.
Many celebrities were left in tears as they watched a heartbreaking scene on Netflix's The Deepest Breath. The documentary tells the story of a woman named Alessia Zecchini, who attempted one of the world's most deadly dives in a location called Blue Hole, which has claimed 100 lives.
The documentary sees the dive by Alessia and her diver partner Steve Keegan go horribly wrong, which results in the death of Steve, who drowned trying to save his live Alessia.

Celebrities were in tears as they watched the tragedy unfold, as Masterchef host Gregg took off his glasses to wipe his eyes.
Clare was seen in tears as she was comforted by her wife Alice as Clare said: "That’s just awful. He did save her".

Meanwhile, Eurovision star Sam said: "That is so powerful".
But, some viewers were left disgruntled the show revealed the outcome of the documentary as one tweeted: "@C4Gogglebox Wow - Why don't you ruin The Deepest Breath film for anyone who hasn't seen it. You think you would have learnt from doing the same to the 'Fall' film. You absolute idiots. Glad I had watched it first. #Gogglebox #c4gogglebox #spoileralert".
"#Gogglebox thanks for ruining the deepest breath,giving away way too much #spoileralert," another added.
