Arsenal host Manchester United in a friendly on Saturday night (July 22) as both teams continue their preparations for the 2023/24 season.

The historic Premier League rivalry will take place in New Jersey on Saturday as fans from the United States get a rare opportunity to see their heroes in action. Both Arsenal and United have remained unbeaten in pre-season so far, with the Gunners recently thrashing MLS All-Stars 5-0, a team managed by Red Devils legend Wayne Rooney.

Arsenal have only conceded one goal so far during a 1-1 draw against German side Nurnberg, while United are yet to concede after beating Leeds United 2-0 before a tight 1-0 victory over Lyon. It's set to be the biggest test of pre-season so far for both teams, and here Mirror Football brings you all the information needed to tune in.

What's been said by Arteta, Ten Hag

It'll be a strange occasion for new signings Mason Mount and Kai Havertz, with both former Chelsea players now set to face each other for their new teams. It was reported before Arsenal signed Havertz that Mikel Arteta was actually interested in Mount, but the Gunners signed the German instead.

Mount then went to United, and Arteta was asked about his pursuit of the midfielder before signing Havertz. However, the Spaniard wasn't giving much away as he said: "We are so happy with the players that we’ve signed and the players that we’ve got in our squad."

Erik ten Hag isn't viewing Saturday's match as an exhibition, as he sent a warning to Arteta in his pre-match press conference. "We don't play friendly games," Ten Hag said. "Every game is a test. Even though we got a good result the other day there are things we must do better than we did in the game.”
