Kylian Mbappe's quiet life and PSG turmoil amid Kim Kardashian dating links
PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe may be one of the most recognisable figures in sport but the France forward maintains a quiet life outside of football.
The 24-year-old forward has had a whirlwind eight years since he broke Thierry Henry's record by making his debut for former club AS Monaco back in 2015 at the age of just 16 years and 347 days. The Paris-born marksman quickly became one of the most sought-after properties in the European game, making his breakthrough in 2016-17 as provided 23 goals on the way to a first Ligue 1 title and a run to the Champions League semi-final.
A move back to the city of his birth would ensue as Le Parisiens parted with the the princely sum of an estimated (£125 million (€145m) plus £30 million (€35m) in add-ons for his signature in the summer of 2017. Fast forward six years and the prolific goalscorer has 212 strikes to his name in the French capital but the holy grail of a European Cup has evaded him.
Even after landing five Ligue 1 winners' medals during his time at Parc Des Princes, it is probably fair to say that his greatest achievements in his career to date have instead come while representing his country. After becoming a world champion back in 2018 at the tender age of just 19, he came agonisingly close to repeating this feat four years later — scoring a hat-trick in one of the best individual displays in the history of the game in the final versus Argentina as France lost on penalties.
At club level, the striker does appear to be at something of a crossroads, however. A move to Real Madrid has long been mooted as Mbappe's next destination and it does seem almost certain that he will depart Paris next summer upon the conclusion of this contract.

As it stands, though, it looks as though any imminent switch to the Santiago Bernabeu is not on the cards, with the 70-time international even taking to Twitter to shoot down any speculation that he would leave the French champions during the off-season. He said "LIES…At the same time, the bigger it is, the more it passes. I have already said that I will continue next season at PSG where I am very happy."
Instead, the forward has been busy taking time away from the game during the summer, even undertaking an emotional trip to Cameroon in July, where he was greeted by hundreds of well-wishers upon his arrival. The country is the homeland of his father, with supporters dressed in PSG kits having gathered at Yaounde's airport to greet him as he stepped out from the terminal.

A visit a school for deaf children subsequently ensued and the striker also visited Djebale, which is the village his father Wilfried hailed from.
The PSG talisman also made the most of his time off following another gruelling Ligue 1 season but attending a party hosted by billionaire Fanatics founder Michael Rubin on Long Island in New York. Rubbing shoulders with household names such as Tom Brady, Kendall Jenner, Justin Bieber, Jay Z and Beyonce, the forward was even seen pictured with Kim Kardashian.
Sources told the Mirror that Kardashian and Mbappe are currently talking, and have apparently been "flirty" with each other, after it was initially reported she was getting close to NFL icon Tom Brady.

Whether the superstars will eventually become an official couple remains to be seen but Mbappe has since returned to training with PSG as he looks to finally land a Champions League winners' medal next term. If this coming campaign is to be his last in his home city, he will certainly be looking to exit the club on a high.
Legendary names Lionel Messi and Sergio Ramos departed Paris following the conclusion of last season but new signings at Parc Des Princes include former Real Madrid midfielder Marco Asensio. PSG kick off their Ligue 1 campaign versus Toulouse as they look to retain the trophy once more.
