Tech firm Nothing is back with its newest flagship device for 2023 - the Phone (2), an affordably priced Android rival to the likes of Samsung, Google and Oppo.

We’ve rounded up the first spotted deals on the new handset, including saving offers on its well-known predecessor, the Nothing Phone (1), its more affordable predecessor. Although, that doesn't mean Nothing's newest device is one to ignore.

The Nothing Phone (2 ) is the newest Android smartphone to hit the market, and it's seemingly more affordable compared to other Android 13 compatible devices putting it on a lot of shoppers’ lists. There are three different prices up for grabs, starting at £579 for the 8+ 128GB model, then £629 for the 12+ 256GB model and £699 for the biggest 12+ 512GB model.

Where to buy the Nothing Phone (2)

The brand themselves, . Shoppers can buy the handset here from £579 for the smallest 128GB model, with prices then rising up to £699 when adding more memory. In terms of deals, there are currently no offers on the brand’s site for the phone.

The flagship Nothing device can also be bought , as the online retailer has recently added the and to its tech department. Prices here are the same as the brand as Amazon is yet to add any Prime deals or lightning offers to the handset.

Nothing devices are usually hard to find on UK network provider deals, as O2 are currently the only retailer of its kind to stock the Phone (1) on a monthly contract, the latest Phone (2) is yet to make an appearance on its site, even for pre-orders.

Let's talk specs on the Nothing Phone (2)

Money talk over and let’s get into what users can expect to get for their money - the specs. ) is fitted with an upgraded Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, a huge upgrade from the previous Snapdragon 778G on the Phone (1).

This new upgrade alone is said to boost the overall performance of the model, giving quicker download speeds, and boost the battery life.

The handset has a 6.7-inch OLED display, 120Hz refresh rate screen, 50MP camera and a brighter update to its existing Glyph Interface which is tucked under the glass rear panel and lights up when calls and texts come in. It's a feature which is also aimed at helping users cut the dwell time on their handset.

It’s not just a handset that looks good on paper either, as our Tech reviewer James Ide would back. James put the ‘premium smartphone’ to the test.

In the Mirror Choice review of the Phone (2) James said: “Phone (2) feels much more like the Nothing Phone I always wanted; I just wish they'd included a zoom lens and pushed the design a little further to set it apart from its predecessor.

“Despite this, the Nothing Phone (2) is juggling a lot, offering a great design, flagship performance and a much better integrated OS, all for less than the Pixel 7 Pro or Samsung S23.

“While some may be disappointed that it looks the same as Phone (1) there's so much more fantastic hardware and software under the hood, that makes the Nothing Phone better than ever.”

Deals on the Nothing Phone (1) - The cheaper predeccessor

Although the deals on the Phone (2) are seemingly nonexistent (at the moment) its launch has meant providers have dropped their prices on the now ‘older’ model, .

This is a good thing if you’re looking for an affordable handset with all the high-end performance qualities most Android devices are home to. Nothing is selling its original handset from £399 but there are cheaper deals to be found on competitive retailer sites.

Starting with Amazon, as the retailer is selling the 8GB RAM 128GB model for the cheapest price we’ve seen yet, , £79 cheaper than the own brand’s site.

Moving onto the middle handset in the Nothing Phone (1) range and GiffGaff is offering an eye-catching price on the 256GM Phone (1), as it’s reduced to £329.

The £329 outright price is only £10 more expensive than Amazon’s ‘bargain’ rate on the smaller 128GB model. shoppers also have the option to split the cost over a monthly payment plan, at £26.59 a month for 12 months with an upfront cost of £10.

This would bring the total price to the same £329, therefore shoppers won’t be stung by interest rates to spread the cost.

Next up we have who has taken £70 off the bigger 8+ 256GB model version as it’s reduced to £379 from an original £449. John Lewis has listed the same £379 outright offer, matching Curry's competitive price.

Lastly we have O2, the only UK network to offer contract deals on the The price for 25GB of data and the handset would cost shoppers an upfront fee of £10 and then £35.81 a month, taking the total price to £399.
