Jill Biden turned down Harry's Invictus Games invite 'as it could hurt Palace'
First Lady Jill Biden didn't join Prince Harry at last year's Invictus Games because it could have hurt the Palace, it is been reported.
It has been claimed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been "trying to gain political influence in the US". The Invictus Games, which was created by the Duke of Sussex to honour wounded warriors, has been previously attended by the Bidens.
Both Dr Biden and her husband Joe Biden attended when they were held in Canada in 2017. In 2016, Dr Biden attended the games in Florida.
The First Lady has always been a big supporter of games as a mum of a veteran and she has her Joining Forces Initiative, which seeks to support the families, caregivers, and survivors of members of the United States Armed Forces.

Instead, Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg and his husband Chasten attended.
The Mirror contacted the White House and Archewell for a comment.
It comes as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly wanted to fly back to the US with President Biden on Air Force One after attending the Queen's funeral but their request was denied.
Prior to the Queen's death on September 8, Harry and Meghan were visiting the UK for charity engagements, with them then remaining in England until after Her Majesty's funeral took place on September 19.
It was previously reported that the couple could be forced to trade their lavish lifestyle for something a little more modest as they supposedly consider downsizing following a few blows to their brand.
The Duke and Duchess are said to be trying to "rescue their ailing brand" after their $20 million (£15.5m) Spotify deal came to an abrupt end last month. With it reported soon after their $98 million (£76.5m) Netflix deal could be "hanging in the balance".
A source told Closer Magazine that the couple are "having to work hard to rescue their brand" because "it's not looking good". They added that their overheads are "massive" and they need "huge paydays" in order to maintain their current lifestyle.
