Buying baby clothes is a never ending task for new mums, you could have bought new clothes just a few weeks ago and your baby has already grown out of them.

It is a lot of money to watch get thrown away only after a few wears, but one savvy mum realised she could repurpose her old baby clothes into other useful pieces of clothing such as bibs and t-shirts - much to her sister-in-law's outrage. Seeing a hack online showing how you can transform your baby's onesies into bibs and t-shirts, the mum got crafty and repurposed all the items that were about to get thrown out thinking it was a 'genius idea'.

However, her pregnant sister-in-law was less than impressed, calling her 'inconsiderate' and uninviting her to her unborn baby's christening for not passing them down to her as she's due in six weeks.

Taking to Reddit to rant about the angry message she received, the unnamed user wrote: "I saw a hack online where you cut your babies outgrown onesies at the bottom to make a bib and T-shirt… I thought it was genius so I did it then posted about it on Instagram.

"My pregnant sister-in-law is not happy that I didn't instead donate them to her… who is ten years my senior and that I know for a fact isn't struggling financially."

She also shares a screenshot of the angry text she received which said: "Hi there and also w*f?!! Why would you mutilate your baby's old clothes instead of going to the store and buying new ones like a normal person?

"I know you didn't grow up with a family but traditionally with a baby will hand down to the next family member in need???

"You know I'm due in 6 weeks so how could you be so inconsiderate and just disregard me??

"Forget about coming to the christening!!" The sister-in-law added to the end of the message.

Other Redditors have chimed in saying the sister-in-law is overreacting, with one commenting: "You accidentally set the precedent that you won't be funding her child's stuff for its entire childhood lol."

Another adds: "She should take her own advice and “go to the store and buy new stuff like a normal person".

With another brutally suggesting: "Tell her: I thought ur baby deserved the new items that I intended to buy for her. But since I am not invited I will save the money for my own kid."
