A mortician who has made it his mission to normalise discussing death has revealed what happens to a woman's breast implants after she dies. Gerald, known as @big_led73 on TikTok, is regularly sent questions about the human body after death and how an autopsy is carried out by his 2.2 million followers.

In his latest video, Gerald answered: "If a female has breast implants, are they removed or will the body decompose, becoming a skeleton with fake boobs?" He confirmed if "they're yours" then "you're taking them to the grave" - and your body will decompose around them.

Gerald said: "They're not removed. If you're embalmed, the embalming fluid will preserve the tissue and slow down the decomposing process. "Or if you're not embalmed, you're going to decompose super fast. The boobs will still be there. They're not going to decompose."

"They say your hair and nails keep growing after you die which is not true, they don't. Your skin shrinks - the embalming fluid dehydrates you and your skin shrinks, so it looks like your hair and nails grow. But your boobs are gonna stay the same and the skin will shrink around them and eventually decompose."

Commenting on his clip, one user said: "I've learned things here I would have never thought I would learn." Another user added: "I think this one is my favourite question ever." A third user said: "I love your channel I learn so much." One more user added: "Thank God... I paid a lot for these beauties."

Wanting more clarification, one user asked: "Are they removed if you are going to be cremated?" While Gerald didn't reply to this directly, another user said: "Yes they are. We were offered to take my grandma's back." One more added: "We did! My aunt has them now in the box they put them in."
