Love Island's Maya Jama set to dump four Islanders tonight in big twist

Love Island 2023 has reportedly axed four contestants from this year's series in a savage elimination, much to the shock of the ITV2 reality show's stars.

Maya Jama greets the Islanders at the beach club in tonight's (Tuesday 18 July) episode and is apparently set to break the news that four Islanders will be sent packing.

The brutal twist means that four unlucky contestants, whose identities remain a mystery, have already left the Mallorca villa.

"The villa was rocked during filming last night as there was another mass dumping at the beach club party that sent them reeling," a source told The Sun.

The insider added that "you could hear the jaws collectively drop" after Maya, 28, had made the announcement.

"Once the shock wore off, emotions continued to run high and there were lots of tears as people said their goodbyes," they continued.

"It's so close to the end now, so to see so many islanders exit in one go took a big toll on the ones left standing."

Mirror has contacted ITV for further comment.

It comes as the public were asked to vote for their favourite couple with the three couples with the least votes at risk of being dumped from the island.

In the teaser for tonight's (Tuesday 18 July) episode, Maya tells the Islanders: "Well Islanders, the public have been voting for their favourite couple. We’re going to do things a little bit differently this time - you know we love a plot twist."

The host then reveals who the public voted as their favourite couple, adding: "I have some more news that might not be that great.

"The three couples with the least amount of votes will be vulnerable and at risk of being dumped from the island tonight."

However, it's not all doom and gloom for the Islanders as prior to Maya's arrival they are treated to a party, where they are surprised by global superstar singer Rita Ora.

Rita, 32, performs new single Praising You as well as a medley of other hits following the release of her new album You & I.

The star also takes a selfie with the Islanders and daringly says: "I don’t know about you guys but I want to jump in the pool so bad. Shall we do it?" to which the group jump in.
