England icon David Beckham spent the morning autograph hunting for daughter Harper who has been so inspired by the Lionesses' success.

The football great says she can't wait for FIFA Women's World Cup, which kicks off on Thursday.

Fans will have to wait until Saturday to see Sarina Wiegman's side take to the field in their opener against Haiti and hopes are high after European championship success last summer.

Harper is counting down the days and after her dad met the team, she ordered him to get all the signatures of her favourites. There will be some early starts ahead for the 12-year-old.

He told her: "Obviously, the conversation this morning was about me meeting you and getting your autograph – which of course I must do after by the way.

"But for you to inspire a new generation of footballer’s – boys, girls, and my daughter, I want to say thank you for that. Enjoy it.

"It’s going to be the most amazing moment of your life landing in Australia and New Zealand and just knowing you have a whole nation behind you, supporting you."

The FIFA Women's World Cup means will be some telly changes ahead – ITV will haul Good Morning Britain off the air next week as part of a big impending schedule shake-up.

The popular programme will not be broadcasting as usual on Friday, and it is not the only show to be cancelled.

There will be no This Morning or Loose Women on Thursday as they all make way for the Women's World Cup matches.

But there is good news for fans of Lorraine, who will host an extended show instead. Coach Sarina, 53, can't wait for Saturday’s opening game against Haiti.

"You can be very excited, I think we're in a good place," she told fans.

"Everyone is getting to the next level again. The team is very excited, we have one more week to prepare for Haiti and we'll be absolutely ready to go.

"We're working hard, but the balance between working hard to improve and having some time off to switch to get some headspace is important," she added.

"We are not robots. This environment helps too. We want everyone to be fit and well when the tournament kicks off."
