The fast-food chain, nicknamed the Golden Arches, serves more than 69 million customers daily over 100 countries.

But its humble beginnings only became widespread knowledge when 2016 biographical drama The Founder hit cinema screens.

After founders Richard and Maurice McDonald opened doors to their very first restaurant in San Bernardino, California, in 1940, Ray Kroc took the chain to new heights.

It now employs nearly two million people worldwide - with celebrities like Rachel McAdams, Pink, Shania Twain, James Franco, Jay Leno and even Amazon founder Jeff Bezos previously on its pay roll.
