Emmerdale fans 'rumble' Dawn baby twist after spotting cryptic clue

Emmerdale fans think they have "rumbled" a huge Dawn Fletcher baby twist after spotting a cryptic clue last week.

Viewers will recall that during the episodes, Dawn and husband Billy Fletcher were worried for adopted daughter, Clemmie, as she faced her first birthday without her late biological mum.

The couple wanted to wait until the right time to tell her about Dawn's pregnancy news but this was ruined by Gabby Thomas, who accidentally blurted out the bombshell after her ex and former fake nanny Nicky turned up with a card for Clemmie.

As expected, Clemmie was left distressed over the pregnancy news as she was convinced that the new baby will mean she’s forced out of the family.

Dawn and Billy struggled to calm down an upset Clemmie as she then accidentally pushed a dining stool into Dawn’s stomach, which resulted in her collapsing.

Worried about Dawn and their baby, Billy rushed his wife to hospital for an emergency scan and the couple cried happy tears after the sonographer confirmed that their baby was fine.

However, eagle-eyed fans were left distracted during the scenes as they heard a cryptic comment, which could lead to a major twist for Dawn and Billy.

The medical staff member said during the scan: "Yes, they're doing fine!", which left many fans wondering if Dawn could be secretly having twins without realising.

Taking to Twitter, one person said: "I swear the nurse said "they're" when looking for the baby's heartbeat. Surely, that means twins? #Emmerdale."

A different account put: "That Nurse definitely said , they're doing fine… #Emmerdale" alongside a Friends meme of "we only ordered one".

Another soap watcher put: "The nurse said they’re doing fine and Billy and Dawn did not catch it #Emmerdale" with a laughing emoji.

While a different viewer replied: "That's what we were just saying as well. Came on Twitter to see if we were hearing things."

However, some soap watchers were quick to point out that it's likely the sonographer used "they" as the gender of the baby is unknown.

Later in the week, things went from bad to worse for poor Clemmie as she ran away but was thankfully found by Nicky.

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
