I found Paul Routledge’s article on prescription charges very interesting (Feb 16).
As I’m over 60, my prescriptions are now free - which I’m relieved about as I suffer from ulcerative colitis which means that I will need to take my medication for life.
I have also long since felt it’s completely unfair that prescription charges are free in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland but not in England.
It’s all very well being told that you can buy a sort of season ticket to get prescriptions cheaper but that doesn’t always help.
