Love Island has a track record of bringing hopeless romantics together, but it seems romance is over for one of the happy couples from the 2023 season – if fan theories prove to be right.
Catherine Agbaje and Elom Ahlijah-Wilson may have been dumped from the villa last week, but they still had each other after falling in lust in front of the cameras of the ITV2 reality show.
But as often happens with love matches on the show, romance outside of the famous Love Island villa can be more difficult when they are back in the UK and regular life resumes.
And fans fear this is already the case for 22-year-olds Catherine and Elom, who made a slightly frosty appearance on Aftersun on Sunday night.

Before their dumping, there had been signs of trouble in paradise for Catherine and Elom when he admitted that a new bombshell could turn his head.
Host Maya Jama had the opportunity to grill the pair on their relationship and asked: "From the outside it looked like everything was going well between you and Catherine and then out of nowhere you're like 'if there's bombshells, I want to get to know them'.
"Where did that come from because there wasn't even a bombshell."
Defending himself, Elom said: "On the outside world I'm the type of person when things are going well, I tend to sabotage things. I think too much into the future and I'm not in the moment."
He went on: "Being in the villa made me realise that I've got to enjoy the moment and being with Catherine made me enjoy the moment as well."
Catherine added: "We've literally been out for two days and even the first day wasn't a day because we got back in the evening."
Fans tuning in felt they could detect tension between the couple, with one tweeting: "Catherine and Elom… do we think they’re still together? Their body language was so off during Aftersun and miles different compared to Leah and Montel."
Another wrote: "I’d say the awkward conversation about being open to get to know a bombshell if one came in has something to do with it. Looks like there is tension there.
"The body language between the two couples were vastly different. I guess we won’t know until either Elom or Catherine says something."

He shared behind-the-scenes footage from After Sun showing him happily hanging out with Catherine backstage, but was more focused on addressing rumours of a feud between him and 22-year-old Scott van-der-Sluis.
Love Island fans were stunned when Catherine ditched the footballer following Casa Amor, leaving him at risk of being dumped from the Island – only for a public vote to save him.
Discussing the incident, Elon said via Instagram Stories on Sunday: "I just wanted to clear up some air while I’m on here anyway.
"Being in the villa we get recorded 24/7 and in one episode only one hour of that gets shown so I just wanted to say that Catherine, Scott and I, we are good. We left the villa on good terms Everything is just blessed."
