Princess Charlotte captured fans' hearts as she attended her first Wimbledon match - a tense final battle in the men's singles between Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic.

The princess, eight, marched in front with mum Kate into the Royal Box to take their seats, with George and William following behind.

Throughout the match, she gave us some incredible reactions, at one point cheering with fists raised in the air.

Closely watched by Kate, Charlotte and George seemed to enjoy watching the drama unfold before Carlos Alcaraz, 20, was crowned the new king of Wimbledon on Centre Court this afternoon.

One fan said: ""PRINCESS CHARLOTTE IS MAKING MY HEART MELT LOOK AT HOW SHE’S LOOKING AT ALCARAZ."

Meanwhile, another exclaimed: "That's a very tender look, She's very happy for him."

Manchester Evening News reports that the BBC commentator even spotted her loving look as the cameras panned over to the Royal Box during the celebrations. "She's very happy Carlos won," he quipped.

A third person commented: "She's gorgeous and I loved the cheer for her from the crowd!" While another joked: "Princess Charlotte gonna be plastering Carlos Alcaraz posters all over her wall!"

One fan even pondered whether Charlotte's day at Wimbledon could inspire a new hobby for the princess. "Any chance Princess Charlotte fancies having a go at tennis?," they asked. "She genuinely looks like she loved it."

While many enjoyed watching the Wales's day out, others pointed out that one member of the family was missing. Youngest Louis, five, was left behind at home, with Kate admitting he was "very upset".

The princess said: “It’s Charlotte’s first time, George came last year. They’ve been eagerly watching. Charlotte you’ve been getting to grips with the scoring. Louis was very upset he wasn’t coming today.”
