Arsenal have gotten their summer transfer business off to an extremely impressive start.
Kai Havertz became the Gunners’ first signing of the window as he switched across the capital from Chelsea. Jurrien Timber has also been announced as a Gunner as he arrives from Ajax.
Mikel Arteta is unlikely to be satisfied with that haul. Declan Rice remains in the gossip columns and it appears only a matter of time before his own switch to the Emirates is rubber-stamped.
Take a look at all of the latest rumours coming out of the Emirates Stadium over the past 24 hours.
Whilst Declan Rice is Arsenal's prime target for midfield, it appears that they have found some alternatives should they fail to get a deal over the line. According to Defensa Central, the Gunners have seen an approach for Real Madrid star Aurelien Tchouameni turned down.

A number of clubs have apparently shown interest in signing the Frenchman this summer. Arsenal face competition from those in the Premier League including Chelsea, Newcastle and Liverpool, whilst Bayern Munich are also reportedly eyeing him.
However, a deal appears difficult to do. It is reported that neither Real Madrid nor Tchouameni are planning on a move this summer.

Jurrien Timber has been announced as an Arsenal player and becomes the club’s second signing of the summer. The Dutchman moves to North London in a deal worth up to £38.5m and has put on a five-year deal with the Gunners.
Speaking after his move was announced, he said: “I’ve always been a fan of Arsenal.
“It was because of my brothers. They were always Arsenal fans, and I just loved seeing Arsenal play. They had big players, the way they played, the style. I just love the club.”

Following Timber’s arrival, that could see Rob Holding fall down the pecking order at the Emirates Stadium and it appears that Arsenal are not going to let him go on the cheap. According to The Athletic, the Gunners are ‘expected’ to reject a bid from Besiktas for the defender.
It is reported that the Turkish side have bid €2.5m (£2.1m) for his services, but that is far below what Arsenal would consider to sell him. The 27-year-old has just one year remaining on his current contract at the Emirates Stadium.
Holding has made 162 appearances for the Gunners in all competitions since his arrival from Bolton Wanderers back in 2016.
