Love Island star heartbroken as dad dies days on from villa exit
Love Island star Ruchee Gurung was left heartbroken after her father died unexpectedly just weeks after she was dumped from the villa.
The beautician was the second to be dumped from the island on this year's series. She shared the devastating news to her followers on Friday evening, as she labelled her dad her hero.
Posting a series of pictures with her "Baba", Ruchee wrote: "My Hero. I can’t believe it, my heart is aching so much. My first love. I’m so heartbroken. You were the most courageous and selfless man.
“You never said no to me, it was always “whatever my daughter wants”. You’re the reason I am who I am today, my twin flame. You were so passionate about what you did.
Ruchee shared pictures with her father on social media"I loved hearing about all your adventurous stories from rescuing climbers on their way up to Everest, to taking a 6 year old to a monastery so he can fulfill his purpose to become a monk, to flying during a war in Afghanistan.

“You taught me to always follow my dreams and to do whatever makes me happy and I’m so so so proud to call you my Baba. I’m going to miss you so much, it breaks my heart that you were taken from us so unexpectedly.
"My Baba, my world, my whole heart. Your smile and presence will be missed dearly. RIP my angel. I love you forever and always Baba. You will forever live in my heart.”
Ruchee was supported by her fellow Islanders, as newly dumped Catherine said: "So so sorry for your lost. Stay strong my love.” Mal commented: “Darling Ruchee!!! My heart is with you!!! lots of love!! Stay strong!!!”
While Andre added: “Condolences to you and your family sorry for your loss, sending you love!” Ruchee said goodbye to the villa for good on 14 June, as her pal Ella was saved by their co-stars.
Following a dramatic recoupling, Ella was left single after new girl Leah stole her man Tyrique - while Ruchee was left alone after André picked Catherine.

Ruchee was the first Islander to be announced for this year's summer series as she hoped to become a role model to young women 'who look just like her' while in the villa.
The 24-year-old from Sutton hoped to find the love of her life in the villa, but she was also overjoyed to be representing the Asian community on the ITV2 dating show after seeing a 'lack of diversity'.
Speaking to The Mirror and other press ahead of her villa debut, Ruchee explained why being a part of the show is so important to her.
"I knew there was going to be a good reaction to me being on the show because I feel like there's not really been anyone who looks quite like me on the Love Island before," Ruchee shared.

"Also with being from Nepal, it's such a small country so I feel like when someone is on TV they are either Vietnamese, or Phillipino, or Chinese, but being from such a small country, I'm so happy and proud to represent. I'm really happy."
Although she now has a strong London accent, Ruchee only moved to the UK in her teens after growing up in Hong Kong and Nepal. Ruchee was born in Hong Kong and moved to Nepal when she was two-years-old.
Due to the fact her father was a pilot and her mum was busy working, it was her aunt who raised her before she went to live with her grandmother in the capital city of Nepal, Kathmandu.
