Fortnite's summer celebration continues, and the latest batch of quests has you channel your inner teenage vandal by breaking doors and jumping on roofs.

Fortnite Summer Escape is the latest summertime event for Fortnite and has thus far challenged players with a number of summery quests, like eating ice cream, jumping off launchpads, and taming wildlife. Summer Escape is Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3's first major event and is set to last until Tuesday, July 18 so you'll only have a few more days to embrace the summer feeling.

One of the latest challenges tasks players with mantling onto a ledge within 30 seconds after launching themselves through a door, which can only really be done in a number of specific areas. Worry not however, as we've got a helpful guide on how to mantle in Fortnite to assist you in completing this challenge for both Battle Royale or Zero Build.

How to mantle in Fortnite within 30 seconds after busting through a door

First off let's actually explain how to mantle in Fortnite. The ability to mantle was added alongside Zero Build last year and basically it's the act of climbing over something once you've jumped at it. If you jump at a ledge and you don't quite make it you should get a prompt on screen with your designated jump button (X on PlayStation, A on Xbox, B on Nintendo Switch, and Spacebar on PC) to press it again 'To Mantle'.

Completing the Fortnite mantle challenge is actually a bit easier depending on whether you're playing Zero Build or Battle Royale so we'll go over strategies for both.

How to mantle in Fortnite Battle Royale

This mantle in Fortnite quest is significantly easier in Battle Royale due to the building abilities present in the mode. Basically you're going to want to head literally anywhere with a ledge; it's hard to recommend anywhere specific because there are so many across the map. Once you've found your designated ledge, follow these steps to mantle in Fortnite:

If you've done that, a wall with a door should appear. After that, simply sprint through it while it's closed and then walk over to your ledge and mantle on it. It's as simple as that!

How to mantle in Fortnite Zero Build

Doing this in Zero Build is a little harder than in Battle Royale, since you can't just build a door anywhere, limiting the areas you can perform this in. So I'll just run through where I did it.

Head to the gas station at the bottom left of Mega City. There's around three or four doors at this building alone, with two roofs. You're going to want to head through one of the doors at the left side of the station and immediately run over to the lower part of the roof and mantle onto it. That should be you.

If you come up a little short don't worry, you can always close a door over and blast through it to try again as many times until you get it right.
