National French Fry Day: McDonald's, Burger King and others give out free fries
National French Fry Day is being celebrated today and it's not too late to grab free fries from McDonald's, Burger King and lots more restaurants.
The holiday is celebrated on July 13 in the US and many fast-food outlets are participating in the giveaway of crispy, gold fries.
Although restaurants have tried to get National French Fry Day to the second Friday in July in order for it to be dubbed "fry-day", not all chains have caught up yet.
Fortunately, for hungry customers this means McDonald's, Burger King, Wendy's and loads more are actively participating in National Fry Day.
McDonald's announced it is giving away complimentary french fries of any size via their app.

Customers just need to make an account on the smartphone app, where they will be able to place an order for free fries.
And best of all, no purchase is necessary so customers can grab fries for free at no additional cost.
Below are some of the restaurants participating in National French Fry Day.

Members of the fast-food chain's Royal Perks loyalty program will be able to get a free order of fries of any size via the app or their website.
Wendy's
Customers at Wendy's are in for a treat as the chain is celebrating National French Fry Day for the next three days until July 16.
All you have to do is make a purchase on the Wendy's app and a free order of fries, any size, will be added to your order.
Wendy's is also taking part in National Ice Cream Day on Sunday, where customers can get a free small Frosty with a purchase of a small order or fries through Grubhub.

At Checkers and Rally's, customers will be able to order an extra large fries from Friday through to Sunday for free thanks to the Rewards App. Members will be eligible if they have signed up to the app.
Carl's Jr and Hardee's
Customers at the fast-food chain will be able to purchase french fries on National French Fry Day on the Carl's Jr and Hardee's app.
They will be rewarded with free small fries each day for the rest of the year - as long they spend $1.

At Del Taco, free medium fries with any $3 purchase is available to customers from Thursday until Sunday if purchased through its Del Yeah! Rewards loyalty program.
Fatburger
The burger-chain is extending its free order of fat or skinny fires with any purchase from Thursday until Sunday.
The offer can be redeemed in-store or online with the code FrenchFryDay23.
Jack in the Box
Only on Thursday, members of the Jack Pack loyalty program can receive a free large order of regular or curly fries with a $15 minimum purchase.

The world's most popular ketchup brand has partnered with UberEats to offer $5.70 off orders that include french fries at participating restaurants.
These include: Arby’s, Buffalo Wild Wings, BurgerFi, Carl’s Jr, Checkers, Chili’s, Freddy’s, Hardee’s, IHOP, and MOOYAH Burgers, Fries and Shakes.
UberEats customers just need to choose a participating restaurant and place any order that includes fries, and the discount will be automatically applied.
