Find out how to get your hands on this incredibly elusive Legendary Aspect ideal for permanently enhancing your character’s attack speed.

The world of Diablo 4 is full of ways to enhance any one of its five unique classes. The primary way of doing this, though, aside from acquiring new gear and loot naturally by laying waste to the demon hordes, is by affixing to your character class what are called Legendary Aspects. Most offer players heavy boosts to damage output and survivability, but there’s one Aspect related to speed that has become the most sought after.

The particular Legendary Aspect in question, in this instance, is called the Accelerating Aspect, which when acquired and affixed to a character class boosts its attack speed by anywhere between 15% and 25% for five seconds whenever a Critical Hit Strike is landed. Diablo 4 being a game where players are regularly required to go up against endless hordes makes the speed in which you’re able to attack of crucial importance, hence why the Accelerating Aspect is in high demand.

Diablo 4 Accelerating Aspect: how to get it and apply it to your character

If you’re a Diablo 4 player, perhaps prepping for Diablo 4 Season 1’s arrival on Thursday, July 20, and want to get your hands on the Accelerating Aspect, prepare to put the work in. As of right now, there’s no clear and straightforward way to get it. Because unlike other Legendary Aspects, which can be unlocked through the completion of dungeons, the only way to acquire the Accelerating Aspect right not is to acquire it from a random Legendary item drop.

There’s another slight catch, too, in that the Accelerating Aspect cannot actually be looted on its own. When you find it it’ll already be affixed to a Legendary piece of gear, such as an Amulet or Ring, which you’ll then have to destroy so as to apply it to the preferred piece of gear you want to continue using. In terms of actually acquiring it, though, your best bet is to farm dungeons, Helltides and World Events that are as high a level as possible – we’d recommend upping your session to World Tier 3 or higher.

Once you’ve been lucky and found the Accelerating Aspect affixed on a Legendary item, extracting it means visiting an Occultist (found in a relevant town in Sanctuary) and clicking on the ‘Extract Aspect’ option. This will then separate the Accelerating Aspect from that original item to let you insert it into a new one. Just be aware, it can only be applied to Weapons, Rings, Gloves and Amulets, so be sure that it’s one you plan on keeping around for a long time.
