Prince Harry and Meghan Markle want to "do something positive" in the wake of their ongoing rift with the Royal Family, a royal insider has claimed.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have made multiple controversial claims about the British monarchy since their high their high-profile withdrawal from its inner circle in January 2020 and subsequent move to North America to pursue an independent life. From their allegations of racism against Buckingham Palace in their 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey to Harry's bombshell claims in his December 2022 memoir, Spare, it's no secret that the regal couple's commentary on their royal relations has been anything but flattering over the past couple of years.

It's now understood, however, that Meghan and Harry have finally decided to end this campaign of criticism against the Firm so that they can focus on other projects in the US.

"I think Harry and Meghan do want to move on," British journalist Valentine Low said on a recent appearance on Good Morning Britain. "I've spoken to their people who, basically, in terms of accusations against the royal family, they say, 'We're done, we've done that'."

Low added that the possibility of "shots" from the couple remains, but it'll unlikely to be anything as dramatic as their previous claims.

"It's not that there won't be any shots because there might be shots… but I don't think that there will be a concerted thing like a book or a program or a big interview," the Times royal correspondent continued.

Meghan and Harry first spoke out about their treatment within the Royal Family in their CBS interview with Oprah in March 2021, telling the US television host that their security had been cut following their emigration and that a member of the Firm had made questionable comments about the skin colour of their son, Archie, before he was born.

They would further discuss their fairytale courtship and withdrawal from the British monarchy in their Netflix docuseries, Harry & Meghan, which hit the US streaming platform in December 2022, just a few weeks before the release of Harry's tell-all memoir, Spare.

In the 416-page autobiography, the duke shared several shocking details about his life growing up within Britian's most famous family. One of the most talked-about snippets of the book was Harry's claim that he was knocked over by Prince William during an argument at Nottingham Cottage, where he and the duchess lived briefly after their wedding, in 2019. The 38-year-old claimed that the brotherly brawl occurred after a heated row about Meghan, in which the future King called his American sister-in-law 'difficult', 'rude' and 'abrasive.'

The Sussexes have reportedly decided to tone down their vitriol against the Royal Family, however, in order to maintain a positive public image.

"They've learned… Meghan's not stupid," Low added. "She knows you've got to do something positive now, you can't carry on harking on that same negative message."
