Meghan and Harry are blaming bad luck after Spotify deal falls through

On the heels of their Spotify deal falling through, Meghan and Harry don't think the odds are in their favour.

Last month, the royal couple announced they have parted ways with Spotify. In 2020 they signed a $25 million deal with the streamer, but Meghan's podcast, Archetypes, only lasted one series before the deal was axed. However, their website still lists the partnership.

Archetypes started off with a bit of bad luck as well. It was unable to be properly publicised due to the death of the Queen.

It's been nothing but gutterballs as sources say that the couple also felt their explosive Oprah interview didn't get the attention it deserved due to Prince Phillip's health failing.

Alison Boshoff for the Daily Mail was told that the couple's "attempts to launch themselves as global do-gooders" never got off on the right start. They "were severely impacted. by the pandemic which followed within months of their Mexit announcement in January 2020."

Talent agent Jeremy Zimmer said: "Turns out Meghan Markle was not a great audio talent or necessarily any kind of talent. You know, just because you're famous doesn't make you great at something."

Meghan reportedly wanted to interview Taylor Swift for Archetypes but the singer had to turn it down. "Meghan had Taylor at the top of her dream guest list," a source claimed, "she really admires her a someone who embodies feminist values."

According to Bloomberg, Harry suggested interviewing Donald Trump or Vladimir Putin for the podcast, but supposedly that's as much as he contributed to it. This isn't shocking as it's said that Harry wants to avoid the spotlight as much as possible.

Boshoff thinks the bad luck isn't just for the duo, Netflix and Spotify "don't have that kind of money to splash around anymore."

Meghan recently signed a management deal with WME as Harry decided to focus more on charity work. Rumour has it that the Duke of Sussex has a documentary that's almost finished about his charity for servicemen, Heart of Invictus. The documentary has been commissioned by Netflix, who have already released the docuseries Harry & Meghan in 2022 featuring the couple.

The couple definitely have their fingers crossed, hoping that their future endeavors will strike gold.
