Liverpool new boy Dominik Szoboszlai sought advice from Erling Haaland before his move to England with the pair potentially ending up as neighbours.
Szoboszlai has made a £60m switch from RB Leipzig to Anfield as the Reds activated his release clause. Jurgen Klopp is in the midst of bolstering his midfield ranks and has added the highly-rated Hungarian on a five-year deal.
Liverpool had already signed Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton but have taken their summer spending to around the £100m mark after capturing Szoboszlai. The 22-year-old has come through the Red Bull system, playing for both Leipzig and Salzburg, which allowed him to cross paths with Haaland.
The Manchester City star has advised Szoboszlai on where he should look to call home in England as the pair prepare to go to battle on the pitch later in the year.
Szoboszlai told Nemzeti Sport on his interations with the Norwegian: "We've talked, so much so that Erling Haaland has also advised on finding real estate, and it could very well be that we become neighbours. I learned from him that several players live halfway between Manchester and Liverpool in a quiet area where privacy can be preserved, and on Monday I will see what he was talking about, I am very curious.

"And of course, putting our friendship aside during the Liverpool-Manchester City matches, it will surely be a fantastic experience to play against each other."
Erling Haaland and Dominik Szoboszlai have previously been team-matesSzoboszlai also had a discussion with Leipzig goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi, who was previously on the books at Anfield before taking his career to a new level in Germany. He only made a hand full of appearances for the Reds but was able to part with his knowledge.
The Hungarian added: "I've spoken to him before and he knows what our relationship is like. He was there in Leipzig when I got there, I became a player for the club and I could count on his support from the very first moment. He was a very good team-mate of mine and I hope he got over his injury and there will be another Champions League match between Liverpool and RB Leipzig where he can try to save my free-kick!
"I'll do some training on Monday, I have some paperwork to do, and then look at some potential properties where I'd like to live. Then I have to go to Leipzig, pack up my stuff, say goodbye to my former club, thank everyone for their support, love and encouragement and then to Budapest. But on the 10th at the latest I will be back in Liverpool, because on the 11th I will be training for my new team."
