A professor was fired after 'asking female students to remove their shirts in class so he could inspect their breasts'.
Montgomery College in Maryland had one of its professors fired for sexually harassing multiple students in his class.
The man, whose name has not been publicly released, allegedly instructed at least 11 female students to remove their shirts and stay only with their bras, claiming it was for a "medical demonstration."
The US Department of Education's Office for Civil Rights (OCR) intervened in the case and found that the professor's behaviour was unacceptable under Title IX, a federal law prohibiting sex discrimination in education.
The OCR report said that when students covered themselves with lab coats, the professor "demanded that they remove their jackets."

Montgomery College in Maryland must liaise with The US Department of Education's Office for Civil Rights (OCR) over the matterUpon receiving the harassment report, Montgomery College conducted a prompt Title IX investigation, placed the professor on leave, and ultimately terminated his employment.
However, the OCR identified areas where the college could have done more to inform and support the affected students.
The OCR raised concerns about a potentially lingering hostile environment and urged the college to take additional steps.
As part of the resolution, the college is required to provide written acknowledgements of the incident to all students in the professor's class.
Additionally, the college must share the results of its 2022 Title IX climate survey with the OCR and provide a summary of the actions taken in response to any concerns raised.
The OCR will determine if further steps are necessary, WUSA9 reported.
Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights Catherine E. Lhamon strongly condemned the professor's actions and emphasised the severity of the harassment.
In a statement, she said: "The shameful underlying facts in this investigation – of a college professor subjecting his entire class to sexual harassment as a condition of instruction – are galling and categorically unacceptable under Title IX.
"I am deeply grateful to Montgomery College for swiftly responding with a thorough investigation and action to address the effects of the hostile environment created by the professor on the students in his class, and I appreciate the additional commitment Montgomery College made to fulfil its remaining obligation under Title IX to ensure that the discriminatory effects end for all its students."
A spokesperson for Montgomery College said in return: "We appreciate the thorough investigation conducted by the Department of Education’s Office of Civil Rights.
