Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sanclimenti have split after 11 months together but Love Island fans are not happy with the 'cold' way in which the Italian Islander released the news.
The former couple won the ITV2 dating show in August 2022 after securing nearly two-thirds of the public vote.
Their loyal fan base were left heartbroken when Davide posted a bombshell statement confirming their split on Instagram on Thursday night.
It came just days after the pair were seen cosying up to each other at a film premiere.
He wrote: "Ekin-Su and I are no longer together. I am grateful for the memories and opportunities we shared together and I wish her nothing but the best.

“I would like for everybody to respect this decision during this difficult time, I will continue to support Ekin in any way possible.”
Ekin-Su has not yet addressed the split leaving many fans to hit out at Davide.

Davide announced their split with a statement shared on Instagram (INSTAGRAM)Writing on a fan page, one Reddit user said: "'Opportunities we shared together' this man is cold…PINGU type cold..the statement is really f****d the more I read it and makes me honestly a bit bitter towards him..the rush to announce something like this when it’s not even done like at the same time for both of them is terrible…"
"Everyone loved Davide because of Ekin even with his short comings. I hope Ekin never goes back, sorry I said it. I hope she finds someone who loves her and wants to settle down. Davide go find yourself," another added.
A third agreed: "Ekin has not posted anything and he is declaring it already. Normally you would coordinate such announcements. Not impressed by this message 2 days ago she posted a picture together with him.. What happened?"
Meanwhile, some Love Island fans claimed the couple's split has left them doubting whether true love can be found on the ITV show.
One tweeted: "Ekin-Su and Davide breaking up making me not invest in any love island couple. i’m done. #loveIsland."
"Love doesn’t exist. Ekin-Su and Davide were the realest and most genuine couple (and toxic!) on love island but they were so entertaining," another remarked.
The former coupe were last seen together in public attending the London premiere of Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny just earlier this week.
Love Island airs every night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
