Harry Kane is building a mansion just 15 miles from Chelsea's Cobham training ground - ramping up speculation about his future.

Kane, who turns 30 next month, has just a year remaining on his Tottenham deal and several clubs are believed to be interested in signing him. Bayern Munich have already had a £70million bid rejected for the England skipper by Spurs, who want him to stay.

Incoming Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino worked with Kane during his five-and-a-half-year spell in charge of Tottenham, with the Argentine playing a crucial role in the striker's development. The chance to work with Pochettino again could tempt Kane.

Manchester United and Real Madrid have also been linked with Kane. Tottenham must decide whether to cash in on their prized asset this summer or spend the next 12 months trying to get him to sign a new deal at the risk of losing him on a free transfer.

As reported by The Telegraph, Kane is building a mansion near Wentworth Golf Club in Surrey. The famous golf club, which is the headquarters of the DP World Tour and hosts the PGA Championship (non-major) every year, is located just 15 miles from Cobham.

It's claimed Kane started the project, which is close to completion, a while ago. The Tottenham superstar currently leaves in Hampstead, north London, with his wife Kate and three children. The couple are expecting a fourth child later this year.

Chelsea are not thought to be plotting a bid for Kane and need to sell players. The Blues have been the biggest spenders in Europe since Todd Boehly's consortium completed a takeover a year ago and need to meet Financial Fair Play (FFP) rules.

Kane is also a huge golf fan and might be building the property for his retirement. Yet news of the mansion will leave Chelsea fans wondering if they can land the prolific striker on a free transfer when his contract expires in a year's time.

Kane wants to stay in England to become the Premier League's record scorer. He has found the net 213 times in the division, with only Alan Shearer boasting more goals (260). Kane is already England's record scorer (58) and Tottenham's record scorer (280).

Yet Kane also wants to win the first major honour of his career. The striker is yet to win silverware after losing the 2019 Champions League final, Euro 2020 final and two Carabao Cup finals. Tottenham also finished second in the Premier League six years ago.

Spurs finished eighth in the Premier League last season, meaning they will not play in Europe next time around. Speaking to Sky Sports in April, Kane admitted Tottenham have lost some of the values they had under Pochettino.

Kane said: "I feel like there were some values at that time [under Pochettino] and some culture that really made us achieve the things we did. So maybe we've lost parts of that over the last few years and it's about looking back at that and seeing the good things we can take from that and trying to implement that in the future."
