Football pundit Richard Keys found himself under examination after falling in love with his new wife Lucie Rose.
The former Sky Sports anchor, 66, wed his daughter's good friend on Saturday but it has certainly not been a smooth romantic path.
They are hitched seven years on from his ex-wife of 34 years reportedly discovering their affair while she battled cancer.
Lucie, who is 32 years his junior, said 'I do' in a £20,000 bash surrounded by friends and family.
But Richard's daughter Jemma is understood to have not been there after apparently shunning the service.

His actress daughter, previously described Lucie as a "friend" in a previous interview, although Richard has since issued a statement denying this.
His former wife Julia filed for divorce from the TV star on grounds of adultery back in 2016 after allegations of an affair with then-28-year-old lawyer.
Lucie and Richard are believed to have been introduced by a mutual friend on the expat social circuit in Qatar, where he was working after his Sky Sports sacking.
She caught his eye in the Middle East but questions of an overlap wouldn't go away.

The affair accusations were the last thing he needed years after being fired from his £500,000-a-year job on Sky Sports after he made derogatory remarks about referee Sian Massey-Ellis.
Richard claimed Julia "had been remission for seven years" when their marriage dissolved.
But in April 2018, Julia discussed her husband moving on in her book The MANScript and it didn't help him following the denials.
She wrote: "Richard's affair didn't just devastate my world, but the world of our children Jemma and Josh too.

"It is only now, two years on, that he has admitted he did have an affair with Lucie, as well as acknowledging his deceit and the damage it has caused."

Telling the platform: "I'll mention the unmentionable for you. Did I leave my wife fighting cancer? No.
"I don't know what happened. I don't know why our marriage ended the way it did, but my wife was fighting cancer for seven years before I left her and she had been in remission for seven years.
"She and I went to London every day of her fight, prior to a ground-breaking operation that saw her in a period of recovery."
Photos on social media show Richard wearing a silver-grey suit with Lucie, who wore a stunning white wedding gown.
Speaking to The Sun before the ceremony, he said: "I'm a very lucky man, although feeling a bit nervous. We're heading off to Canada for our honeymoon which is a bit different.
"Then it's back to work for both of us in August and the start of the football season for me. People think I might be a bit long in the tooth now but I don't care."
