Girl stabbed in street attack and man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder
A man has been charged with attempted murder after a schoolgirl was stabbed in the street.
The teenage girl, aged 15, is in a stable condition after suffering injuries following an attack in Middlesbrough.
Emergency services rushed to Premier Road at around 3pm on Thursday to find the 15-year-old girl was seriously hurt.
She was raced to hospital immediately and is recovering after a 23-year-old man was swiftly arrested, the Sun reports.

Cleveland Police said they are not looking for anybody further in their investigation.
A spokesman for the force said: "Anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has any information or was in the area at the time and has not yet spoken to Cleveland Police, is asked to get in touch.
"Please dial 101 and speak to the Control Room, quoting reference number SE23121727.
"Alternatively, you can go to the Public Portal and provide information and submit any CCTV, video footage or dashcam footage. You can access the Public Portal here Public Portal (mipp.police.uk)."
