NBA free agent Bryn Forbes allegedly beat his fiancee Elsa Jean and left her with two black eyes after an altercation on Valentine's Day.

According to a police report, Forbes was arrested early on Wednesday on suspicion of assault with bodily injury - a misdemeanour - after a verbal argument with former porn actor Jean escalated. The police report from February 15 claimed Jean ‘was allegedly struck several times, causing injury and pain’, while she required medical attention.

Forbes was released by the Minnesota Timberwolves last week after the NBA Trade Deadline. According to the Daily Mail, the 29-year-old allegedly felt threatened by Jean’s OnlyFans success as well as the launch of her podcast Heartbreakers, along with co-host and manager James Maas.

The couple were engaged and had been living together for one year when the incident occurred on Valentine's Day. Following the alleged altercation, Jean has reportedly ended the engagement while she is unsure if she will press charges.

After he was arrested at 5am on Wednesday in San Antonio, Forbes was taken to the Bexar County Jail. He was released on bail for $2,500 with the arraignment set for March 20.

The police report suggests Forbes struck Jean several times after the pair returned home from La Cantera Resort & Spa. The San Antonio Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services then arrived on the scene to tend to Jean. The case remains under investigation by the San Antonio Police force.

Forbes - undrafted in 2016 - played seven seasons in the NBA after he spent his college years playing at Cleveland State and Michigan State. The guard played his first four seasons with the San Antonio Spurs before he joined the Milwaukee Bucks as a free agent in 2021, where he won the 2021 NBA championship.

He returned to the Spurs just a year later before being traded to the Denver Nuggets midway through the season. Forbes signed with Minnesota in July, but the Timberwolves waived him last week to clear a roster spot after adding Mike Conley Jr. and Nickeil Alexander-Walker in the blockbuster trade that sent D’Angelo Russell to the Los Angeles Lakers and former MVP Russell Westbrook to the Utah Jazz.

The San Antonio Police Department has been contacted for comment.
