Diablo 4's world is packed with hidden secrets and riddles to challenge players, one such riddle is The Pilgrim's Footsteps.

Much like the Secret of the Spring quest, The Pilgrim's Footsteps is one of the more unconventional quests in Diablo 4. You'll happen upon a book in the middle of Kehjistan's ruins and you're only given the following words to go on "Walk the road of faith to a lone desert chapel. Stand at Acarat’s feet, follow his example, and be rewarded".

While most questlines in Diablo 4 can be solved by brute strength, there's an equal amount of brain teasers to test players' knowledge of the game's world and mechanics. This quest is one of those that will challenge your thinking, but luckily for you, we've got the answer right here for those of you who want to save up that energy for taking one of Diablo 4's World bosses.

Where to find The Pilgrim's Footsteps quest in Diablo 4

The Pilgrim's Footsteps can be found in northern Kehjistan, you'll need to head over to the Amber Sands area of the region and you should happen upon an old book (labelled with a quest marker). Interact with this book and you'll be hit with a riddle "Walk the road of faith to a lone desert chapel. Stand at Acarat’s feet, follow his example, and be rewarded".

So, once you've interacted with the book a quest marker will appear on your map, leading to a statue north of where you started your journey.

Once you've reached the statue, you'll need to think back to the riddle "Walk the road of faith to a lone desert chapel. Stand at Acarat’s feet, follow his example, and be rewarded", like the aforementioned Secret of the Spring, you once again have to make use of your emote wheel to solve this riddle.

Stand at the statue and use the 'Follow' emote, which should be on your emote wheel. You can access the emote wheel by holding the following default keybindings:

If follow isn't on your emote wheel for whatever reason, open up the wheel and select the button labelled 'Customize'. The game will pull up a list of available emotes and let you bind them to your wheel.

After you've emoted with the statue a chest should appear, the chest is labelled Boon for the Faithful and contains some nice items to aid your quest to defeat Lilith.
