Jai Sharma is set to send himself and family into turmoil after making a life-changing discovery on Emmerdale next week.
Desperate to take his family away, Jai - played by Chris Bisson - sets his mind to booking a holiday for the group of them. However, an issue with his booking means he accidentally secures them the honeymoon suite rather than a family apartment.
Seeing this as a bit of a sign, Laurel gets down on one knee and asks Jay to marry her. He, of course, accepts as the pair work out who they want to tell first and in what order to announce the happy news to their growing family.
As they work on the next steps, Jay heads to find his divorce certificate, searching through a pile of boxes to locate his legal documents folder. However, he ends up knocking the wrong box and finds an official document there.
It all starts when Laurel gets down on one kneeStunned, he can't believe what it says - and he quickly realises something isn't right.

The next day, he continues to struggle, very upset by the discovery he made and soon loses his temper at work. Laurel, worried he might turn back to his previous vices and addictions, she urges him to talk to his parents. Rishi arrives to chat, but Jai is getting more and more angry, before exploding with anger over what happened.
Rishi is horrified he has learned of the secret and can't believe his dad's poor explanations. Jai is sure Rishi is lying through his teeth, and refuses to tell him the truth, leaving Jai even more angry and frustrated.
Things only get worse when Jai realises that Manpreet has known the secret too since their marriage and furious, he urges his father to go away. Struggling, and mid planning an engagement party, Jai struggles to focus on the celebrations. A worried, and unaware, Arthur hopes he can sort it all and goes to find Rishi. Will his arrival be good for Jai, or are the lies too much for him?
The revelation leaves Laurel stuck between Rishi and JaiSpeaking about what the discovery means, Chris told The Mirror and other press: "He finds some old photographs, and also contained in that box is a very long standing secret, one that's life changing for Jai.
"He's completely shocked. He had no idea that anything like this could possibly happen to him. His dad and his mum had been keeping this secret for many years. At first, he's just taken aback by it and doesn't know how to compute it. He starts to think a bit more about it, then he gets more angry about it because he has been completely deceived."
