When the weather is warm, it can be all too easy to rush outside without giving safety a second thought.
Deep down, we all know that we should be wearing SPF all over our exposed skin, we need a hat, and we need to stay hydrated.
However, sometimes all that goes out of the window, and we're too keen to get out and about.
But one woman learned the hard way that the symptoms that come with severe sun poisoning are horrendous as she paid the price after going out with no SPF or protection.
Orla McGlynn, 22, was left unable to open her eyes after the summertime faux pas.

She had to go to the hospital as she hadn't worn any sun protection (Orla McGlynn / SWNS)She failed to wear protective cream during a long weekend in Cornwall, and as a result, the area around her eyes, especially the left, became badly inflamed.
Orla, from Stockport, said that it wasn't painful, but she was forced to wear sunglasses at work while the problem subsided as she was concerned about the way it looked.
The waitress said that she "wasn't wearing any suncream", just "moisturiser with SPF", but vowed that she's "learned her lesson" after the incident.
"On the Friday, it was cloudy and I burnt then, so I just wasn't prepared for it, I think", she said.
"It actually wasn't painful at all, just annoying as I was going out the following weekend and I was stressed about that.

Orla woke up with the swelling on the Monday morning, and she initially put it down to the fact that she was tired, sharing that she thought it was "normal."
But when she flew home later that day, it got a lot "worse", taking "two days to really come up."
Following a hospital trip, Orla received antihistamines and ibuprofen.
"I'm back to normal now, thank god", she said. "It took about three days to clear up and I had to wear my sunglasses whilst waitressing at the pub!"

She's now advising others to wear suncream when they're out and about - even if the weather doesn't seem too sunny.
