People have been left gobsmacked after a homeowner shared an example of inconsiderate parking that's so terrible it has to be seen to be believed.

In a shocking photo shared to Reddit, it appears that a driver left their car right in front of a double garage.

To make matters worse, the vehicle was positioned directly in front of the door, and parked lengthways, so it blocked two cars inside.

Perplexed, the homeowner took to social media where they questioned: "What reason could someone have to do this?"

They added: "Someone thought it was a good idea to park their car in front of our garage. Missed a doctors appointment because of this.."

Unfortunately, commenters struggled to come to a consensus, though most agreed the driver could not have been thinking clearly, regardless of their reasoning.

Offering suggestions as to why someone would leave their car in the spot, one person wrote: "Stupidity. Not taking the time to look around or care that other people live on earth." "To answer your question: people are idiots," added a second.

Meanwhile, someone else theorised: "They really want to waste money getting their car out of the tow." Another joked: "They just want to support their local towing companies."

But a different responder thought: "This is clear-cut, well-thought-out evil...."

Others offered advice. "That sucks. You need a no parking sign on the garage door. Contact a local tow company to see if they would provide one if you use their services to tow the next person who parks there," read one such reply.

In response, a commenter answered: "It's a garage door. The no parking sign should be implied to anyone with a brain." A further reader agreed: "No parking is implied in front of garages and driveways... and fire hydrants for that matter."
