A boy was killed on his way home from his 18th birthday party by a "drunk and high" driver allegedly doing 100mph on the wrong side of the road.

Riley Danard and Khalea Theouk, from Seattle, US, died instantly during the horrific head-on crash after celebrating Riley's birthday in March just after midnight.

According to police, 36-year-old Delfino-Lopez-Morales was driving 55 miles over the speed limit and on the wrong side of the road on West Seattle Bridge.

The crash happened just hours after Riley turned 18 as the pair were driving home from his birthday party.

Police found the suspect had an alcohol content of 0.14 which is nearly twice the legal limit.

Mr Lopez-Morales had also driven over a concrete curb that divides the lanes of the bridge.

Footage from traffic cameras on the bridge also capture cars with severe damage to the front end of the vehicles.

Bystanders rushed over to the cars to help the victims but tragically the teens were pronounced dead at the scene.

According to recent court papers, the alleged drunk driver was badly injured in the crash and is still recovering from the incident.
