Although necessary, changing the duvet can be a bit of an arduous task, especially when you've got a double one to wrangle with. If you're not careful, this can lead to a fair bit of confusion and frustration, which isn't exactly ideal for getting a relaxing sleep in your nice clean sheets.

One couple has now shared a duvet-changing hack they've only just discovered, and those who've been tying themselves in knots for years have described it as 'genius'.

Taking to TikTok, the pair declared they'd found a brand new way 'to change your duvet really fast' by following three super-simple steps, however, it will most likely only work if you're in a couple.

TikTok user Jack and his other half, who share videos under the username @ruesaint, recently uploaded an easy-to-follow clip demonstrating how each of the three stages could be completed in a matter of seconds.

Step one was 'put duvet cover on boyfriend', with Jack seen wearing the duvet much like a ghost costume at a Halloween party. The second step was to 'let boyfriend grab the corners', while the third was to 'put cover over duvet'.

The couple declared the tip to be a 'success', ending the vid with a triumphant thumbs up. A number of their followers are now keen to give it a go themselves, praising the 'smart' tip.

One person applauded: "The timing of this was impeccable, we're about to do this now."

Another individual, who already swears by this tip, enthused: "We do this and he pretends to be a spooky ghost every time it's my favourite ritual."

Others however were left scratching their heads as to how they could follow suit without a partner of their own, with a third follower left pondering whether it would work with them and their cat.
