A mum has been left "mind-blown" after realising she'd not been making the most of her kettle - by ignoring a money-saving feature she could have been using all along.
Posting to TikTok as @buildabundle, a mum behind the preloved clothes shop of the same name explained her honest mistake.
"Who else has just discovered today that the numbers on a kettle don't tell you how many litres of water it holds..." she began.
"...It actually tells you how many cups of tea that amount of water will make! So you only boil the amount you need. Mind blown! Who else never knew this?! I'm 35."

One shocked viewer questioned: "Do people not know this? No hate I just honestly thought everyone knew this!" But the mum replied: "I genuinely didn't." Someone else also revealed: "I didn't know so thank u."
Meanwhile, others pointed out various kettles use different measurements - perhaps explaining why some commenters were unaware. One such reply said: "Mine is litres. It says so."
