Noel Gallagher has been opening up about his surprising split from his wife of 12-years Sara MacDonald in a frank new interview.
The High Flying Birds frontman, 55, revealed their relationship collapsed during lockdowns throughout the Covid-19 pandemic and admitted that like a lot of middle aged couples, he and Sara simply "grew tired of each other".
It's also claimed in the new interview with the Oasis rocker - whose brother Liam expressed concern for earlier this week - that Sara was reportedly left furious with her estranged husband thanks to his love of partying.
Noel and Sara first met back in 2000 when the Mancunian singer chatted up Sara at Ibiza club Space. The pair tied the knot in 2011 and share sons Donovan, 15, and Sonny, 12, together.
"It's not uncommon for people to get to their fifties and go, well, you know…" Noel mused in his latest sit-down chat - going on to imply his grueling touring scheduled contributed to his split from Sara.

The Wonderwall singer went on to confirm things began to turn sour at the height of the pandemic, thanks to the musician catching Covid-19 twice.

The former couple share two young children together from their 12-year marriage (James Shaw/REX/Shutterstock)Chatting with Ireland's Hot Press magazine, Noel recalled the misery of the pandemic and stated: "Although I f*****g hated lockdown, I got to finish off all these songs that I'd half-written and write a load of new ones.
"The silver lining to a very dark cloud being that I actually had some f*****g time off during Covid."
He also admitted he may end up producing a break-up record one day in the future, after revealing one of his new tracks was "written in the middle of a relationship breakdown".
Noel and Sara announced their plans to divorce at the start of this year via a joint statement that confirmed the end of their marriage.
A representative for the former couple told the Mirror in January: "Noel and Sara will continue to look after their children who remain the priority.
"They ask the media to respect their privacy and that of our family at this time."
An insider went on to add to The Sun: "It is a great shame but they’re trying to keep it as civilised as possible.
"Noel has moved out, but in time Sara might want to move back to London. They’re working everything out steadily to minimise the disruption."
Noel was previously married to Meg Matthews from 1997 to 2001 and shares eldest child Anais Gallagher, 23, with his former spouse.
