Logan Paul was forced to tap out as Israel Adesanya caught him in a triangle choke during a recent training session.
Adesanya recently visited Puerto Rico along with fellow UFC champion Alexander Volkanovski, with 'The Last Stylebender' appearing on Paul's Impaulsive podcast. The middleweight king also spent some time on the mat with Paul during his trip and despite being known mostly for his kickboxing background, Adesanya showed off his grappling ability by making Paul tap out.
Paul can be seen working from Adesanya's guard in the brief training clip, with the UFC champion then throwing up his legs and catching Paul in a triangle choke. Paul taps out and looks into the air in frustration, as the YouTuber is heard saying: "I almost made it out".
"Izzy made that look effortless," one user wrote of the clip. "People saying 'Logan this Logan that,' what did you expect? Adesanya is one of the best MMA fighters although he is a striker he trains both his wrestling and striking," another added. "People are acting like Izzy has never went to the ground in his life, any non-MMA fighter gets tapped out by Izzy," a third user agreed.
"These guys beat my a** today! His coach was telling him how to tap me out and he was doing it at his leisure, I had no control. I thought we were sparring," Paul said. Adesanya then joked that he is changing his fighting style to become a grappler after improving his Brazilian jiu-jitsu under coach Craig Jones.

"Craig has been with me for like a month now," Adesanya said. "I made a joke like 'Ah striking is boring, knockouts? What the f***. Who wants to do that!" Paul then admitted he was tapped out six times by Jones, a multiple-time jiu-jitsu world champion, in the space of five minutes.

Adesanya and Volkanovski recently became the first two fighters officially sponsored by Paul and fellow YouTuber KSI's Prime Energy, with the immensely popular drink also serving as a UFC sponsor since February. Paul also gifted Adesanya with a 'Prime' chain made out of diamonds that is roughly worth around $25,000.
"It's an honour to give that to you and give that to Volkanovski," Paul said of signing Adesanya to Prime. "The most disrupted beverage in history has just signed two of the best fighters in the world to our team. That is representative of this first venture we have into sponsoring athletes."
