Ex-boyfriend 'stabs teen softball star and her mum' before cutting own throat
An 18-year-old man allegedly launched a frenzied attack on his ex-girlfriend and her mother before cutting his own throat.
Spencer Pearson is accused of repeatedly stabbing 17-year-old Madison Schemitz, a high school softball star, and her mother, Jacki Rogé, before attempting to take his own life at a restaurant near Jacksonville, Florida, on Saturday (June 3).
The troubling encounter occurred while Madison, Jacki, and a friend were having lunch at the restaurant at around 4.30pm.
They noticed Pearson standing nearby, causing immediate fear among the trio.
Reports suggest that Madison had broken up with Pearson, who had previously threatened her with violence - her mum was trying to get a restraining order taken out against him.
