Henderson 'close' to leaving

Nottingham Forest are reportedly 'close' to re-signing Dean Henderson after the Manchester United goalkeeper spent the season on loan at the City Ground.

Henderson made a total of 20 appearances for Forest as they secured Premier League survival and Fabrizio Romano claims Steve Cooper's side are set to make the 26-year-old's loan move permanent. "This is close [a move to Nottingham Forest]," Romano told The United Stand.

"This is something that has been discussed for two or three weeks between Nottingham Forest, Manchester United and the agents of the player. The player wants to go. Manchester United want to accept that proposal, so I think this is just a matter of time to complete the final details and then Dean Henderson has a concrete chance to join Nottingham Forest. I'm told it's not done yet, but it could be done very, very soon.

"I think this is a good opportunity also for United to make some profit. These kinds of deals are going to be crucial this summer. We know about the striker, we know about the midfielder and also what's going to happen with the centre-back.

"But in general, to make some money with all these players that are returning from loans and who are not part of the Manchester United project, is going to be the best way to do something extra especially in the second part of the transfer window."

Man Utd target teenage prospect

19-year-old Chicago Fire prospect Brian Gutierrez is on Manchester United's radar, according to the Daily Mail.

Gutierrez has impressed in the MLS since making his senior debut back in 2020 and United are among a host of clubs monitoring the teenager. Bundesliga sides Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig are also said to be interested, along with La Liga outfit Girona.

Hojlund a "huge Manchester United fan"

Manchester United have been heavily linked with a swoop for Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund and the 20-year-old admitted earlier this year that he is a Red Devils fan.

Speaking back in January, Hojlund said: "Now that you ask, I will not hide the fact that I am a huge Manchester United fan. So personally, it would be one of the biggest things for me [to join them]."

Casemiro demands more from Man Utd

Manchester United star Casemiro has urged his teammates to "demand more of ourselves" following his first season at Old Trafford.

Kane told to snub Man Utd for Real Madrid

Sergio Ramos has told Harry Kane: Real Madrid is the one club you must never turn down.

Real Madrid are targeting £100m-rated Tottenham striker Kane this summer as they look to replace Karim Benzema at the Bernabeu.

England captain Kane has got major reservations about moving abroad but Ramos insists he would be a perfect fit for Real Madrid. Real Madrid legend Ramos said: “My advice to any player is don't turn down the opportunity to play for Real Madrid - it is a special club who know how to win.

“He (Harry Kane) has an incredible physical presence - you can't score as many goals as he does in The Premier League and not be able to play the physical side of the game.

“But also he can play the technical side of the game as well and I don't think he gets enough credit for that. Yes he is a great goal scorer but also he is a great football player as well.”

Benzema is quitting Real Madrid after 14 years and is set to move to Saudi Arabia and ex-Spain hardman Ramos says it will take a special player to replace him.

Ramos, 37, who spent 16 years at the Bernabeu, added: “He (Benzema) has contributed to so much success with Real Madrid you will never be able to replace him - he is one of those players who is unique in the history of Madrid.

“What you do need to do though is bring in a quality forward who can come in and score goals. Not everybody can play for Real Madrid as there is so much pressure and expectation - so it needs to be the right player.”

Sheikh Jassim 'puts team in place'

Sheikh Jassim has reportedly lined up a senior management team in the event he completes a takeover of Man Utd, despite being behind Ratcliffe in the race.

According to ESPN, both parties have made plans to hit the ground running should their bid be successful, though any transition would still take time to implement fully.

Both bidders are still waiting on Raine Group to name a preferred bidder while Erik ten Hag is concerned how the ongoing takeover process could impact his summer transfer spending.

United star Amad is reportedly the subject of pursuits from FIVE clubs after impressing on loan at Sunderland.
