Aaron Ramsdale might have missed out on the Premier League title with Arsenal this season - but the keeper has shared the best possible news to make up for it.
Following the departure of Bernd Leno at the beginning of the 2022–23 season, Ramsdale took the No 1 shirt at the Emirates and has proved a start performer for Arteta. His two superb late saves at Liverpool in April salvaged a 2-2 draw for the Gunners, and his form has promoted many to call for him to be installed as England keeper in place of Jordan Pickford.
And the 25-year-old appears to be happy off the field as well as on it. Back in August 2022 he revealed on Instagram that he'd proposed to girlfriend Georgina Irwin, posting a picture of the moment with the caption: "Forever and always has a nice ring to it."
And now he's shared further good news to his 1 million followers. The couple have announced they are expecting their first child via a heartwarming video, that began with a pregnancy test placed on a baby outfit which read "I love you so much Daddy."
Ramsdale then proceeded to run across the bedroom and embrace his fiancé, kissing her on the stomach. The footage continued with the pair eating cakes before showing a video of a recent scan appointment. To finish off, the lived up pair were seen posing in front of a professional photographer.

Ramsdale captioned the video: "Half of me, half of you," followed by a heart emoji. He then added "Baby Ramsdale," with post racking up 61,000 likes ion just two hours.
And his teammates for club and country were quick to offer their congratulations, with Buyako Saka and Jordan Henderson among the first to reply. Wrexham keeper Ben Foster, renowned for his own internet videos, was also impressed, writing: "Ahhhhh love this!"
Ramsdale and Georgia got engaged last year (Instagram/georginamay_)Ramsdale has been a popular member of the Arsenal dressing room since signing from Sheffield United in 2021. And in January this year, he drew praise for keeping his composure when a Tottenham fan tried to kick him in the back following the Gunners' 2–0 win in the North London derby.
In March this year, he won the Goalkeeper of the Year at the 2023 London Football Awards. He also received the Premier League Save of the Month honour that month for his stop from Dango Ouattara against former club Bournemouth.
