Ulrika Jonsson has slammed former This Morning host Phillip Schofield amid the ongoing scandal surrounding the presenter’s private life and on-set behaviour.

The 61-year-old initially resigned from the ITV daytime show last month, issuing a statement insisting his departure had nothing to do with an alleged feud with his This Morning co-host Holly Willoughby.

However, he was then forced to confess to having an affair with a young, unnamed production assistant who worked on the show, and claimed it was an “unwise but not illegal” relationship.

Holly then issued a statement, claiming she quizzed Phil over the relationship in 2020, but he denied it, leaving her “hurt” by his lies.

Phillip has admitted that while his affair was not illegal, it was "unwise" and has apologised for his actions.

The presenter has explained that he will openly help ITV with their external review regarding his affair after he explained that he has struggled in recent days, admitting there has been a lot of alcohol involved.

Former This Morning presenter Eamonn Holmes then waded into the controversy by making a series of allegations against Phil and accusing ITV bosses of covering up the affair.

Kerry Katona, who infamously appeared on This Morning in 2008 in a distressed state, has also spoken out about the collapse of Phil’s decades-long TV career.

After watching the presenter’s tell-all interview with the BBC on Friday - in which he spoke about feeling suicidal - Kerry had some choice words for the disgraced TV star, and said his negative behaviour towards her during their chat on the show in 2008, also had an impact on her mental health.

“This is exactly how I felt after the interview he did with me! If I didn’t have my children I’d have killed myself,” she wrote alongside a captioned clip of the interview on Instagram.

Kerry continued: “Things need to change drastically at ITV!! Nobody reach out to me after the interview or asked me what bipolar was, or what medication I was on.”

“4 people from Love Island have killed themselves, including Caroline Flack! To EVERYONE who’s is involved with this I really hope that they are ALL getting the right support!!!” she fired.

Kerry’s pal Ulrika commented on her emotional post, and wrote: “It’s all about him…. What about his poor wife in all this #arrogant #toxic”.

Before the interview aired, Kerry spoke to GB News host Dan Wootton and said there was a “toxic” culture at ITV, as she said the broadcaster didn’t reach out to her following the backlash from her interview in 2008.

“When I got home after that interview It was like a crime scene with all the paparazzi and ITV never reached out to me,” she said.

“Even now when I go back to ITV there's snobbery. I'm not here to jump on the bandwagon but to vocalise the lack of aftercare and toxicity,” Kerry stated.
