Wrexham goalkeeper Ben Foster has opened up about the all expenses paid trip to Las Vegas the squad was treated to by owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney after sealing promotion back to League Two.

Wrexham lifted the National League title after amassing a whopping 111 points, having lost just three games all season, and were treated to a luxury four-day trip to America by Reynolds and McElhenney to celebrate their achievement.

And former England and Manchester United stopper Foster, who came out of retirement to rejoin the club for their final eight games, estimates it cost Reynolds and McElhenney "at least half a million".

In an appearance on The Fellas Podcast, Foster said: "I went on the Vegas trip it was hard work mate honestly. The way that Rob McElhenney and Ryan put it on for us, laid it on for us, was just like nothing I've ever seen.

"We got there and it was just straight to the shower, straight get changed, go to Hakkasan for dinner and then we're going to Hakkasan nightclub straight afterwards. All expenses paid.

"Got to be £500,000, had to be at least half a million genuinely it had to be because they just looked after everything." As well as Hakkasan, Wrexham spent time at a number of luxury hotspots such as the Bellagio, MGM Grand, Spago and Omnia.

The squad were also invited on stage by famous DJ Steve Aoki, attended a Chainsmokers concert and there was even an ice sculpture of the club's badge when they visited the Bellagio. "We walk in and whatever's playing, the music shuts off and they start playing a Wrexham song," Foster added of his experience in Hakkasan's nightclub.

"We've got a massive closed off VIP area, and there's Wrexham drapes falling from the ceiling, poppers going off everywhere with confetti, glitter. There's a screen and it's showing like Paul Mullin scoring goals and stuff like that! It's 1am and they've stopped the music and they're putting this stuff on, and every one of us is just going 'What on earth's going on here?!'"

Midfielder Ben Tozer, meanwhile, outlined the exact itinerary of the trip in an interview with as he branded Reynolds and McElhenney the "best owners in the world". He explained: "The flight wasn't direct, which was the only hitch, apart from that we can't complain.

"We got there Thursday dinner time, they took us to Hakkasan for dinner which was amazing and then we went to Hakkasan Nightclub and they treated us to the best tables and it was just insane really. Almost everything was insane.

"The next day they took us to Wet Republic Pool Party which was again the best tables and the best layout for us and everything was free, then in the evening was Omnia Nightclub and four of us got to go up on stage with Steve Aoki.

"The next day was Marquee Pool Party followed by dinner out on the balcony at the Bellagio then we were at XS Nightclub where The Chainsmokers were playing, again everything was the best treatment, it was outrageous.

"Teo Pool Party followed by Teo Nightclub then we had to get up and go in the morning. At the Bellagio [there was an ice sculpture] honestly the treatment we've had has been almost like royalty, it's been so surreal and the owners are just incredible.

"There have been talks about the owners for next time with a possible private jet. We had the best security, even if we wanted to go to the toilet they would take us. I was like 'no chance' I wanted to get in the mix but that was the sort of treatment we had, it was so bizarre.

"The honesty and the personable bits they're doing around the town, I believe we've got the best owners in the world, the way that they are. They honour everything that they say and they don't say it flippantly, so far they've backed everything they've said up."
