Prince Harry is said to be missing certain parts of the royal life after alienating himself from his family with a number of explosive interviews.

The Duke of Sussex, 38, took aim at certain sections of the Royal Family in his best-selling memoir Spare as well as several highly publicised talk show chats.

He also was part of a tell-all documentary series alongside his wife Meghan Markle for Netflix in which they hit out at members of his family.

However, a royal expert believes Harry could still have a part to play in the Royal Family if he plays his cards right.

Tessa Dunlop told the Mirror: "Harry admitted he misses the big crazy palace meals with family members, he deliberately didn't attack his father in his book and alluded to a possible future Commonwealth role.

"But to shift relations onto a more functional footing with the Royal Family, a less confrontational way forward is required."

She continued: "One that won't be as lucrative but perhaps will prove more satisfying. Certainly, it is a way forward that would suit William, the future King. But then matters are altogether more simple for William, he has a rock-solid inheritance and a throne to look forward to. Not so his younger brother."

Tessa also admitted that she feels Harry and Meghan are likely to take a step back from the public eye as they have "nothing more to say about their life within the Royal Family".

She believes that while their Netflix docuseries smashed records for the streaming giant, it's "unlikely" any "less personal efforts" will hit the same heights.

Reports suggest that the couple could even be holding out for a huge payday if they sell the rights to his memoir.

It's thought they could "command a top-dollar fee" for the words to be made into an on-screen production.

Spare quickly became a top seller when it was released earlier this year and there is said to be a clamour about Hollywood for those hoping to win the rights to make it into a feature.

Harry's book was ghostwritten by JD Mohelinger whose own memoir was turned into a film starring Ben Affleck. The movie's director, George Clooney is said to have introduced the author to the prince.

And now a source told the Daily Express that Harry and Meghan are in a "win-win position".

"He will command a top-dollar fee for the rights, while involving Archewell would mean a more lucrative 'double dip'," the source claimed.
