Adenomyosis is not a life-threatening condition, but the symptoms can have a big impact on your day-to-day life so it's important to get the support you need.

Unfortunately, Naga suffers badly with the condition and in recent years, she has been vocal about her battle.

Most recently, Naga revealed that she was in absolute agony while presenting her BBC Radio 5 Live show.

At the time, she told her listeners: “Right now, as I sit here talking to you, I am in pain, constant, nagging pain in my uterus, around my pelvis."

The BBC presenter than told her listeners that her husband was recently forced to call an ambulance to their house as Naga was screaming in agonising pain - and the screams went on for '45 minutes non-stop'.

Eight months ago, Naga was told by doctors that she had the condition eight months ago.

Throughout her teenage years and her adult life, Naga recalled being 'doubled over' in pain every month when her period arrived, but the doctors never detected anything out of the ordinary and just told her that's the way her body worked.

Naga revealed that she would be in utter agony and the pain was so bad that she would end up vomiting when she started her period at the age of 16.

"I had a 10-day period every three weeks, passing out and being sick each time and feeling like I had been 'stabbed in the abdomen'.

“I felt weak but also angry. Every time I told a doctor about it I was told I was just unlucky.”
