Whether it's enjoyed on a slice of toast or accompanying a full English breakfast, eggs are a staple for many.

The versatile and tasty snack can be enjoyed with any of the three meals throughout the day, and can be cooked in a variety of ways - from scrambled, poached, or even fried.

Arguably, poached eggs tend to take the top spot, but they've created a name for being rather difficult to perfect.

Thankfully, one woman has shared a game-changing life hack to cook poached eggs with ease - and it doesn't even include a frying pan or saucepan.

In fact, she's claiming that she can achieve a perfectly runny yolk by simply popping her eggs in the microwave.

Taking to popular video-streaming service TikTok, the user - who boasts more than 18,000 followers, on account @danarebeccadesigns - shared the new hack with viewers.

Since sharing her cooking method with others, her video has surpassed a whopping 1.6 million views to date.

Captioning the post, she wrote: "My mum is obsessed with TikTok and this new hack!"

The woman's mum explained: "I recently learned how to poach an egg and I thank whoever it was on TikTok.

"You break an egg into a small bowl, add a little bit of water (just to cover the yolk), and put it in the microwave. Mine goes in for 44 seconds!

"It can go in for between 36-45 seconds," she added.

Retrieving the bowl from the microwave, the woman gushed: "Out comes the perfect poached egg!"

The TikToker carefully spooned out the poached egg from the water and placed it carefully onto her plate for eating.

Upon slicing into the egg yolk with a knife, the consistency was perfectly runny and gave the identical effect to poaching the eggs in a saucepan with hot water.

Since sharing the game-changing hack, the woman's post has raked in over 300 comments to date - where people rushed to the comment section to gush over the easy method.
